Default Sliders

KKnut

They look good, I thought about a third support but was trying to keep weight down and wasnt planning on doing the kind of trips I have been.

Both seem to get the slider up higher than mine which is good.

Cant get a good look and the underside of the liberator from any pics I can find. Not sure how they mount up that high.

The Manic one is similar to some Ive seen for JK, I had alook on the website and thier picture dosnt appear to show any supports to the chasis, which appears it only mounts onto the pinch seem ( I might be wrong) which I wouldnt be happy with for side impact.

The way I used existing holes in the chasis and plates fed into the internal of the chasis can accomadate another support and I might go there eventually.

Ref front clearance, I have the two inch mopar lift but I have to admit I have thought it looks lower than some other with the same lift. It may just be that Im only running 245/70/16 so that it complied with the national code of paractice for total lift without engineering certification. It does concern me though as I was considering a uneek bar at the end of the year.

I've got same setup currently. 2" Mopar Lift, Uneek bar + winch and just 245/70/16s. Happy to compare height numbers if you're worried what yours will end up at.

Default how much into the sliders

Vards

Its mostly time at the moment, the steel was only $160 including bits for the rework. Consumables, wire, rods, cutting and grinding disks, probably another $50, so cost wise add two tins of spray paint and its still under $250.

Ive actually enjoyed making them and adjusting things, Ive been a bit to office bound in recent years and missed making and fixing things.

the JCR are very similar, they use a plate section to bolt to the pinch seam where I used angle, in hindsight I think box would be better, the only thing I dont like with them is they bolt to the chasis with tech screws and Im not keen on putting holes in the chasis, particularly in the middle of the vehicle.

Be interested in what the cost is to import them, maybe you can get afew interested and save on freight.

Mikzor

I havent measured the front for a while might take you up on the offer to compare, or maybe we can catch up in Brisbane Im hoping to get back at Xmas, enjoying the driving here in Melbourne but looking to move back to QLD.

I was quoted $270 for postage of the JCR sliders (90lbs 61x18x6inch) from shipito.com to my door.

$US325 for the stage 3 slightly bent up piping. Approx $590 for the JCR sliders delivered to my door is brilliant!
