The problem occurred after the N23 was done along with the start switch recall. I wanted the dealer to do the re-flash described in service bulletin 21-022-14 REV.A but they will only do a diagnostic check at my expense. $140/hr. I asked them to get approval from Chrysler, but they won't do that either.

Scroll down to Campaigns and if it has or hasn't been done

Mine shows the ignition hasn't and the P73 hasn't.
Already did that also. It shows P41 & P73/N23 completed.
I'll try calling as you suggest.

Just called Chrysler. They say exactly the same. Take it to the dealer for diagnostic & they will determine if the problem is caused by the recall or not. If they say it's not, I have to pay for diagnostic & any repairs they deem necessary. B******s

It is possible that its not the N23 issue, if your transfer case motor has the fault the update was designed to detect it will give the same symptoms. Is yours a QuadraDrive II? If a Diff solenoid fails or the wiring to the solenoids is damaged then you get the same message on the dash.

You are to far away from me otherwise I would scan it for you

I recommend you get yourself a scan tool, then you wont be at the mercy of the dealer and there $$$.
Look up BlueDriver, it has good reviews and guy's here & in the states use it on their Grands. It will cost about the same as 1 hours labour at the dealer.

Thanks Clarky
QuadraDrive II, yes.
The small OBD scanner that I have dosen't work any more either since the visit to the dealer.
There's no power to it from the socket.
I'm certainly not taking it to the dealer so they can tell me a load of BS to try to get cash out of me.
Vehicle had absolutely no problems before it went there.
Is the BlueDriver you mention able to get rid of this C140F code?

Great. Looks like it's also powered by the socket same as the one I have is. I'll have to check tomorrow if there's a live pin in there. I suspect that whatever the dealer has done has killed it though, because my unit worked OK before & now does not. I'll definitely buy one if I can convince myself that it will work OK.
Thanks for taking the time to assist. Much appreciated.
