Default Instrument Cluster Self-Diagnostic Test

I am stuck at work and thinking about the Jeep issues, so it is a normal Thursday here. From another thread I've been thinking about my instrument cluster more lately.

Just curious if anyone has tried this?

The Instrument Cluster Self Diagnostic Test? Should work for any cluster with an odometer push button. If there are any faults you can't do much but it will tell you if you need to replace the cluster. If nothing else it looks fun to watch the dials dance around.

I am trying to track my usual gremlin and since the previous owner disabled the CIL I am curious what else they did with their devious little rat claws that may cause my electric issues.

I would try it but I am stuck inside for a while yet, so thought I would ask if anyone has had success with using it to diagnose.

I ran it a few time, it's mesmerizing.

Having said that there is definitely no CIL and I think there are codes at the end. I have had no luck finding any info as to what the codes mean, but my persistent Goog's tell me it means there is something with the cluster and just replace it.

Random question for anyone who reads this - the CCN, the Cabin Compartment Node...what is that? I have seen posts on a Patriot forum that says it is the cluster. But it seems to just be listed everywhere.

Any insight would be very helpful before I throw more money at eBay.

Sounds like it might be something in cab. Behind the kick panel in the drivers footwell perhaps?
