I've always thought that reducing the ID of the air intake and making it 5 times longer would do the opposite?
What you might be aware of now is the SOUND of the intake, making you believe its more responsive?
Sure its possibly cooler air and the on going debate about ram air effect could make a slight difference but would be out weighed by the points above.

Just some updated pictures of how it is now.

Umm, new stuff, my HID headlight conversion kit and bullet centre caps on my wheels as u can see in the first pic. And decided to use my bikini top.

Also getting things ready for the big trip to Camp Coffs, Digging up some of my 15x7s and 225's to put on for the drive down and going to be towing a small box trailer with my 31s in it and other junk. And when we get to Coffs going to throw the 31s on, seems like a lot of fart arsing around but i think of the positives out of doing this saving fuel* and tyre wear plus keeping up with my dads KJ until we get to Brisbane and my dads picking up a camper caravan thingy up to hire for the week. Should be ordering my SYE and all ADJ rear control arms next week sometime, once there in finally going to fit my 1" BL. Also got a huge list of other things to do lol...
