Default CAD Drawings for fab work.

Hi all!

I'm only fairly new to this forum but have already found lots of useful info to help me bring my '95 XJ up to a resonable off-roading standard. As a way of thanking you all for this and to help others, I would like to offer my services as an AutoCAD draftsman to those on this site. If you have any plans you would like drafted in AutoCAD I would be happy to help out when time allows. Of course I would then have copies of all your ideas, so this is not a totally selfless act!

We could then post, email or link these for those who needed them. The great thing about CAD drawings is that they can be downloaded into CNC equipment such as laser cutters to produce fast and acurate profiles in most materials.

I can also do 3D designs and sheet metal drawings that will produce flat patterns of complex shapes. I am currently working on a bullbar with incorporated recovery points, and would also like to do a set of rock rails and a wheel carrier. I have also thought that it would be nice to come up with a simple but very sturdy replacment for the standard Jeep roof rack fittings that use the existing rails.

If anyone here has any ideas or needs some drawings done so you can get something bent up or laser cut, just let me know (email would be best).

Cheers and thanks again for a great forum!

Matt

Seeing you were thinking of a spare carrier anyway, you can have a shot at my spare swing up idea if you have nothing else to do.
Not for me really as not going to make one myself as dont need it.

Thanks Jimmy - I appreciate the compliment! My email has gone a little haywire at the moment - but I did see your response. Give me a yell after you have spoken to the the laser guys and I will make that adjustment to the PCD of the bolt holes you mentioned then.

Cheers

I shall send you pictures and all measurements next week along with materials list for you. I have made it and will photo and measure as I make the next two and I will leave the drawings up to you that will enable others to copy and manufacture a cheap but super strong wheel carrier, for themselves (will also sae me having to re measure every time I make one)
