Default Your XJs mods

Whats your favourite mod. I love mucking about with the XJ but need some cheap mods to do (Weddings are expensive).

So far I have

dual batteries
false floor with fridge and slide
3 inch lift
tyre carrier
extra power points in the rear
30x9.5 BFG/ATs

I would like

31's (MTR)
SYE
5 inch lift
Rock Rails
Front bar
Dash mount UHF
Cargo barrier
Snorkel
Spotties
Vents

I'll get

30 or 31 MTRs
Rock Rails

I'm thinking air horns are next since my horn is pretty buggered after mud and water on the weekend. Plus they're cheap and will keep my busy for a few hours. Also looking at home made disconnects tomorrow.

Cheers
Steve

Not much done to the Volvo yet.....
We've only got: 30x9.5 A/T (stock susp)....Hayman Reese Towbar & now Navra 170 spotties.....Oh yeah and a set of ShooRoos.....

I'm currently looking for:
Roof - A set of extra racks for the roof (to distribute the load better) - I'm always hauling stuff up there....
Lift - Have 1¾" spacers for the front (not fitted), looking to get AAL for the rear.
Horn - Yup planning a set of air horns.
Fire Ext - I have one in the TJ, but I REALLY want 2 in each vechile - will probably do this in the next few weeks.
Air Comp - Once I get a york in the TJ, my ARB will be fitted to the XJ.
Cargo Barrier - Been looking for a used one......I know I'm cheap .....
Front bumper - Again keeping the eye's out for a used ARB Winch bumper....Optomistic I know ....
Inside - I have been drawing up plans for an internal shelf - But I think the boss is gonna can that idea becuase we throw the dogs in the back
Locker - I bought a Lockright for the front - but now I'm not going to use it so I'll sell it now......
Snorkel - I'd like to put one one - but I can't see her letting me anytime soon
Engine - TBS for the Volvo & Tent Jeep has been on my scope for a while....soon.....soon....
Exhaust - I think the XJ might be developing the same cracked manifold as the TJ so I guess that will waste some $$$
Bonnet Vents - hmmm I can only dream about those at this stage for the volvo

Had to edit to update with a few recent additions:
Favourite mod - without any doubt is the SecondAir beadlocks - still to do a write-up on them, but they were SO money well spent. Cherokee at 12psi on sand dunes is a different beast altogether.
Other tinkerings and mods:
headlight and wiring upgrade
switch wired in aerial circuit
dual battery system
extra fuse blocks under hood, under dash and rear of car (makes future tinkering so much easier)
UHF fitted in o/head console
second tow hook fitted to front
subwoofer and amp wired in (and never carried now as no room)
spotlights
Raingler rear cargo net (great, much more versatile than steel barrier, until dog chewed it - ironic, because we thought it would be better for the dog on impact)
ARB compressor in rear
fridge slide
storage boxes
long range fuel tank
rear wheel caddy
Thule track-mounted roof bars
OME 2" lift + AAL
alloy roof rack (sawnoff the old 4Runner)
sand flag

Recent additions:
bonnet vents (100 series cruiser cabin vents)
Polyairs to rear springs (thanks Jake - you're right, they are A1)
JKS quicker disconnects (finally fitted tonight)

Wish list:
rock rails/sliders
JeepSpeed TB
snorkel
rear locker
exhaust (Weatherman's TJ just sounds TOO good)
New XJ (as the current one will be worn out by this stage)

Haven't done much yet but as always the list of things I want to do is long....

Have so far:
* Teraflex disconnects
* Cooper STs
* ARB Full Length Roof Rack with Kaymar Jack and Shovel holder on side
* Towhook added to front
* Dual Batteries
* Home made rock rails
* Mounted Mag Light to front support mounts of driver seat
* Mounted Fire Extinguisher to front support mounts of passenger seat
(the last two would be the favourties cause I did them all by myself....nice and cheap)

Things still to do:
* Buy UHF in-dash unit - handheld is nice but sometimes a pain (esp. batteries)
* 4.5" lift
* SYE and DS
* 31" mud tyres
* Mount my ARB compressor under the seat - no room under the bonnet
* rear storage drawers and fridge slide - trying to draw up some plans/ideas at the moment
* rear tyre carrier - will prob get the same one as you Steve when I get the avail funds

That's all I can think of for now - but I know there are more........

The best mod I ever did to my XJ (first mod) was the rock rails I made for my toy
protects the sill panels & body and make a great step for easy access to Rhino Roof basket
Next was the snorkle closely followed by:
twin battery,
Cargo barrier
Rear storage deck
Fridge
Power sockets to rear
Driving lights (all of them)
Bonnet Vents
1 1/2 inch suspension lift
Overhead console, with radios
Custom made recovery hooks on the front
Hand throttle
Twin Electric fans
Recovery Hook to fit into the tow hitch
Currently moulding a Lexon bug deflector to fit to top of Bull bar
