believe me when i say this... the DIY MAXTRAX work Excellently!!! sand yep no worries REALLY easy, mud YEP really easy to get out... + the biggest bonus because they are ZIP tied.... easy foly up to well milk crate size about shoe box thickness. so you can pack 3X of these handy little tools and they are still SMALLER than a size of a normal milk box!!!

believe me BEST and EASIEST recovery option i've ever had.... BUT it's a suzuki weighing in at UNDER a tonne...... i'm NOT 100% sure if it'd work with a jeep weighting in at over 2 tonne....... haahaahaa, maybe you use copper / metal clamps to hold it together it'd be strong enough to support 2 odd tonne.

HAH!!!!! but yes they work!!!

It fits on the passenger side tucked up behind the skid plate with an overhang on the bottom. Its a very tight fit and if someone else does the install its a good idea to check where they run the fuel lines. Some idiot that installed mine put an inline fuel filter right above the upper control arm, so I have just fixed the whole system (well almost, you can still see a bit of rag in the first shot to stop the dust getting in).

Its a really simple set up with a duel filler that lets you fill up your main tank aft and the aux tank fwd. From there the fuel goes down into the tank via a 34mm hose. Its then pulled out of the tank via an 8mm hose and through a fuel filter and into a fuel pump that is controlled from the cab (the switch also had 4LED's that give you an idea about fuel levels). From here the fuel just goes into the fuel filler hose for the main tank via an T Junction fitting. The transfer of 45Lt is not quick and takes about 10-12 minutes but if your start the transfer from 1/4 of a tank you can do it on the go.

Passengers side showing a slight overhang on the skid plat (big downside...)
