What's the consensus on transmissions? As the 3.8 is only available at present, with the auto or 6 speed, what is everyone going for?

The Auto box has been exhibiting some shuddering issues and torque converter probs according to Project JK web site and TSB's posted there.

The KJ CRD's have also had issues here even though its a totally different tranny - the torque converter might be the common link - who really knows. They are recalling all KJ CRD's for torque converter replacement at present. Mine's been fine however so far.

Hope they sort out the auto anyway, perhaps now they have given the Aussie delivered ones are a year behind the USA.
