Default WK2? no major problems- Am I the only one?

2011 model .....the story so far.

At just over 12K the Beastie is going in for her first service.

I heard nothing but bad stories about Jeep’s but I’m here to say the Beastie is a keeper.

She lives in Mackay and has done a fair amount of road travel - been to Sydney via the coast and back to CNQ via the Kidman way, seen Longreach, Townsville and the Isa.

I got her in December and used her stock standard. We’ve seen Dingos, Emus and lily covered billabongs. Travelled over red dirt, gravel, tar and basic mud on the standard Kuhmos.

Averaging a very tidy 10.5…..so says the trip computer.

Now if only i can get a snorkle, winch rated bull bar and some MT rubber I can really test her up to the Cape befor her next service.......

I bloody love this car!

Nice mate ... I'm waiting for mine to arrive, and hope to do same sort of things as you. We are scheduled to do a Sydney to Adelaide run at the beginning of October. So I'm going to research some offroad options for the trip.

Every day I'm seeing more and more GC 'S on the roads - many v6petrols and crd's and a few v8's - great to see the brand having such a strong presence - it will assist in other fabricators building bull bars ,etc for all Jeeps types. My little ole KJ diesel is 150k and still going strong - hangin out for the next upgrade so I can snap up a diesel GC.

Just arrived home 2 hours ago from a 5 day Sydney to the Vic High country trip and it's was great (3.0 CRD).Soaked up the km's and pulled our 1.6 tonne camper with ease, just under 14000 kms on it now and pulling the trailer it averaged 10.8 litres on the read out.
Love the torque in the thing when driving the Mt Buffalo roads and not having to rev it on the dirt/rock tracks and just crawled along.

Even used the hill decent for the first time, can't wait to get some new tread for it.

Happy owner.

Mike.

Yeah, it is V6 limited and I am impressed. As it is a lease vehicle I always use Caltex and it might just be me but I have found using the 95 gives me greater range than the e10 or 91 and while I do long drives it is my daily commute.

And no real complaints about the model other than getting off road gear.

After the first service I will reset everything and see how we go.
