Default HO cams for 4.7 litre PT engine.

So i've doing a bit of research into the ho cams, and to my surprise these things are dam hard to get hold of. Have any of you guys or girls come across these on the inter web? The main reason i want a set is with extractors and a good flowing exhaust gives the jeep more of a performance engine sound. If theres a link to an old thread on this please advise me,
Cheers

Last time I looked I found a pair for about AU$1300 new, bloody expensive.
If you're contemplating them for a non-HO head, forget it, they wont fit!
I've looked at a HO cam and std 4.7 cam side by side and they aren't interchangeable.

Cheers,
Ruffy.

AFAIK they do fit. There are various discussions on it on US forums and even KOLAK recommends them.

I have Crane racing cams in mine, they fit. Another mate in Perth got a pair of HO cams regrind them close to my specs and have them installed in his regular 4.7 V8.

Here's mine:

My apologies

The cam I was comparing my HO cam to mustn't have been a std 4.7 cam.
They looked very similar but there was a difference with the thrust bearing surface.

I stand corrected.
Thanks Tyvokka.

I'm assuming these wake the 4.7 up nicely
What other mods do you have on the engine mate? Was it a fresh rebuild or older motor etc. Cheers
