I had the same thoughts when I bought my 2014 Limited mate. It is a stupid place to put it and no I don't believe you can order one without it. If you did manage to do it it would be at a cost.

Just wondering guys, had a look at the replacement tub. Does it still have the 12 outlet in it? Couldn't get a clear view of it.

Has anyone tried removing the CD player on an MY14 with the RA3 8.4A head unit? The dealer is telling my the whole head units shits itself if you disconnect the CD player??

Already got the full size bin ready to go.

Seems like a stupid spot for it. My 2012 Overland had a CD Player from factory, in the head unit though, thew screen flipped up.
I have since replaced it with the amazing Teyes CC3 which is a ripper
