thanks tassie. climbed under and had another look. i saw the adapter plate, about 30mm thick as a very rough guess. it would be what i saw on the parts list. will have to look for another reason for the pedal friction point being a bit high. possibly slave cylinder. have been a few of them failing. thanks for the help.

Just spoke to extreme clutches - or email I should say.

There is now a solid clutch available... The catch? It's ceramic! Not really suitable for on road use!!!

Organic clutch is expected in march/april

Jeez I hope mine holds out that long! It's starting to get quite bad!!

thtnks for that mate. for those of us who don'y know a lot about ceramic clutches (me mainly) could you give us an idea of the cost and why it's not suitable for on road use. i assume this is the diesel clutch/flywheel combination you're taling about.

Default 2008 Jk CRD aftermarket clutch kit.

Good day guys,
Just went through your forum and noticed that in 2008 there was talk about an aftermarket clutch kit for a 2008 JK CRD Wrangler. Any new development and any advise on where to get one now?
Thanks. Martin

Thanks David,
That is a bummer, my clutch went yesterday. Did you manage to get yours fixed?
