With my Jeep experiance so far I think you'll enjoy finding out what this Jeep thing really is. I'm about to trade mine for a Cruiser.

I dont agree. Do you have some mates that own jap rigs? Are they in your ear telling you how bad your xj is? Of course toyotas never break down, thats why the service centres never get any business http://www.recalls.gov.au/view_recal..._ID_Auto=14700

Every vehicle has problems, at least with a jeep you can easily work through the list and rectify them easily. We have a huge support network here, a valuable library of experience. I could give you a list as long as my arm of the stupid things ive fawked up on my xj, but a yota wouldnt have got me there to start with.
Ive got a mate with a prado and i know its never been offroad, its in pristine condition, hes had it "offroad" at stockton beach but not in the back dunes. its never been rockcrawling because he may scratch it. His resale value is high. My Xjs is not. But I can take mine places he could only dream of.

I HAVE FUN IN MINE and because it only worth five grand, then I dont have to be so precious with it.

BUILD USE BREAK REPAIR REPEAT

I just love the "Coolness" of the XJ but they just don't cope with a thrashing like others do.

Well, its blatently obvious you've been wheeling with the wrong crowd, and your thinking of running 33's on stock ratio's. Ya going to bust shit doing that
