Does it allow you to throw some black smoke out the back? I know it's not everyones cup of tea but I genuinely miss it.
That's the whole point of the DPF, so there is no soot out the back. Pull the DPF out and you can have black smoke

Will be posting before & after dyno results.

Will post fuel economy differences after a few tanks at least.

Did you get the CRDstu DPF back exhaust?

Hi GCDingo, the exhaust will be a DPF back system by Horsepower Factory.

Spotted that on one of the US forums. That's squeezing a bit too much out of the engine. I would be waiting for the loud BANG!!

Cheers, Craig

Default ECU Tune Update & Exhaust fitted

Hi all,
Had my exhaust fitted today by HPF.
First an updated report on the tune.

Since my last report, I have covered another 5,822 Klm's and 7 tanks of fuel averaging 8.63 Lt per 100 Klm's. Admittedly I haven't towed much over the last few tanks.
So, since the ECU tune, I have covered a total of 11,899 Klm's and 15 tanks of fuel with an average of 8.99 Lt per 100 Klm's.
Keep in mind that prior to the tune, my average was 9.38 Lt per 100 Klm's.
This is all Klm's travelled V litres of fuel, not by the EVIC.......VERRY HAPPY.

Now the exhaust.
Only travelled about 30 Klm's with a mixture of traffic lights & freeway, however you can definitely feel the extra power & torque low down and mid range.
According to the before & after dyno results, I have gained up to 7 Kw at the wheels, which translates to about 9.8 Kw at the flywheel.
The actual drive of the vehicle tells another story. You would swear that the gains were more substantial.
The sound is definitely throatier and you can hear a low droll noise at freeway speeds. Not obtrusive though.

Will keep an eye on the fuel economy and how it is effected by the exhaust.

Here is a pic of my nice black tips.......

Cheers, Craig
