I am going to there place on Saturday to have mine measured up (5.7 Hemi ) I saw a post on FB about this and contacted them, there was no mention about them needing a crd though.

The only difference between the CRD and V8 should be the location of the sump access hole.
Now I don't know about you but I remove my plate as it is a PITA to drain anyway. A solid plate IMO would be a better option as there would be nothing to catch on.
