Default Daylight lights help

I have just installed new headlights from spider usa, great lights, problem is they have daylight lights on them, could some one help with a diagram or in simple terms were to and how to connect them, so when I turn ignition on the daylight lights come on, I know the wires from headlights but not were to connect, the mechanic hooked them up to the parking lights, I want them to work on their own, any advice.?

Hi mate,

It is quite complicated and really not worth the effort but that's just my opinion.

Low Beam/DRL module, dealership to change country code to Canada in BCM, reinitialize BCM.., DRBIII scan tool for that one.

Don't know which dealership/ dumb service manager you can speak to to get them to understand and actually do it.

I connected a cheap, easy to replace L.E.D. strips on the outside of the headlights and hooked them up to the parkers. That way I can have them on when I want to and they don't look silly like DRLs do when the blinkers are on.

I know about the debate about DRLs and safety but then you might as well be driving a Volvo.

It took a lot of persuasion and five different dealerships for them to look at my ABS issue and reflash the 545 RFE to 5 gears. That's in frustrating Sydney. Good luck if you're in a country town somewhere.

Where are you located, btw?

I am in Sydney, Sutherland area, would a mechanic with a scan tool be able to do it?
Also the dealership said it was an airbag recall, haven't heard anything about a transmission upgrade?

1. Don't think so, no
2. Trans upgrade is for earlier Grands : 99-01, if I recall correctly, it'll be on google somewhere.

As said, you will need a new low/drl module. You dont have that at present.
Then a DRBIII scan tool, not just any scan tool. Most are DRBIIs
Change country code
Reset and REinitialize BCM

Sorry, running out of time, gotta go cook for mudders day.

I know Tynans very well. They tried to screw me for $5000 for some accessories on a fleet leased JKU. Went with Heartland instead.

Here's the link to the drl module http://www.moparpartsoverstock.com/p...6042216AB.html

All the best
