Went for a run through Yengo with some new friends. Got to try the little girl out in some real situations and was over the moon with how she ran. Great ramp over and easy climbing. I feel if I was to push her to her limits I would start puckering certain parts of my body!

All in all, one of those days where you think "THIS is why I bought a fourby!"

I bought wheel studs from Autobarn. Any reason you needed to go to Summits for such a cheap and common item?

I have spacers now but even on the factory rims they really aren't long enough for my liking as I prefer to have full length engagement on the nut. Have you ever really measured how far yours go on? The factory studs are only 1.5" long so when you consider the axle flange is 1/4" plus the brake plus the wheel center that doesn't leave much.

Did you buy standard length studs? Longer ones the size I needed weren't that "common" and they wanted $9 each so when you need 20 it gets a little expensive! I got studs and a full set of wheel nuts with spline drive lock nuts delivered in 8 days for $115. Aussie parts stores can kiss my arse they have given me nothing but trouble and attitude.

Ones I go were quite a bit longer than standard studs. I needed them for my trailer as I installed 13mm spacers on the hubs as well as brakes. They still may have been too short for what you needed by the sounds of it. I thought mine were about 10-15 for a set. If that includes freight that is pretty good. It would cost me $80-$90 just for freight to get sent what you ordered. The price of freight that's what made me wonder why you went with an OS supplier. I am getting annoyed with the local Tas suppliers. I need 4m of trans cooler line and the cheapest well the only place who carries 3/8 out of three auto shops is $10 a metre, I was like WTF??????????? In fact Supercheap Auto also had some but they wanted $20 for a pre-cut one metre length, go figure............

Just came back from a trip to the Snowy Mountains. Stayed in a cabin on a farm at Lake Eucumbene and drove the Alpine Way and Swampy Plains Rd via Murray Gorge (near the start of the Murray River - yep saw Mexico from a few meters away). Awesome drive, definitely recommended. Just check for road closures, we drive it the last day before winter closures.

Got back this arvo and test fitted my LightForce 170s on the Mopar tyre roof rack. Think I'll be keeping them there

I get full engagement on my wheel studs with both factory alloys or steelies, I did look into longe studs when I was running Ford wheels and Autobarn had them in stock, I don't recall them being overly expensive....
