I can do better than that.
Ive just fitted a grease nipple to my XJ distributor.
Works great.

Just coming back to y'all about a resolution to this thread and thanks for your responses. There are a few threads coincidentally about rough idling, hesitant acceleration etc. May say something about the age of our vehicles.

Of course there was no CAS code on the computer.

Instead, mechanic found a craic'd coil, and a damaged dizzy cap contributing to the skipped heartbeat of the 4.0L I6. The very stony Oodnadatta track (last year trip) was probably a contributing factor as the dizzy cap was previously changed about 2 years ago (probably Chinese part)..

She now runs like she just rolled off the stealer lot 25 years ago.

Great you got her purring again.

I usually change caps, buttons, coil etc every few years. Had a few times where rough running was caused by these parts.
