Since they are supposed to be rear Fog lights?? I would have thought clear.

Clear lights are for forward facing lights only..... unless you're reversing...
Could you imagine the confusion on the road if we had bright clear lights on the rear of our cars...

The red lights are not for your benefit, as such as for the benefit of other road users approaching from behind in the fog.

Just run a single jump wire from the brake positive to the Fog positive wire behind the passenger side rear light and you get dual brake lamps on each side
