Aaaaand it's not running on ULP again... gotta love an intermittent problem!

Will pick up fuel filter early next week, maybe drop by a mechanics and see if they'll test my fuel rail pressure for me. This is frustrating.

Hi my 96 runs on dual fuel I can only guess here your XJ does it start on petrol then switch to LPG that's what mine does take the fuel line off and crank it see if fuel comes out

There will be a solenoid that switches the fuel on and off on your fuel line. Disconnect you fuel hose at the rail side and prime see if the solenoid is passing fuel.

I just remebered on my tj my pump sucked up a heap of s#$t when the filter fell off inside the tank. I dont know why but when i bought it there was a t shirt inside the tank. It would pass fuel but then run out. And when i primed it a heap it would start for a little bit. Might be worth pulling the fuel pump out and checking the filter at the base of the pump and the rail. I think the regulator on the jeeps have a filter in there too but i could be wrong.

Hey There!!!
I bought a dual Lpg / petrol jeep xj 2000 , works fine on lpg but when I transfer it to Petrol the pump doesnt seem to turn on and i have no fuel pressure. Does anyone know what might be the culprit, im assuming the fuel pump but i was wondering if the dual lpg petrol system would have something to do with it ?
Thanks

Mark lulubelle has an lpg XJ. Once he sees this thread, he may have some ideas.
I had the Parnell prinz gad system in mine. Once it got to 10 years old and lpg tripled in price, I ripped it out.

They are supposed to have a service every few years. Might be worth taking it to an lpg place and getting them to check it over.

Cheers,
