forgot to mention something havent seen on here before
adjusted auto trans kickdown/throttle cable
is in the FSM, saw a write up on the internet & youtube, apparently stretches over time
this cable affects gear change, and straight away, noticed the upchange speeds have increased about 10% and feel firmer
not sure the torque convertor may not be locking/unlocking under light throttle, moderate load conditions, and this seems improved, maybe even fixed
anyway, its very easy to do, see FSM
* I advise make a mark of where inner cable sheath is before commence!..I didnt, but there was a witness mark from age
follow FSM, press button, align inner & outer sheath end
in my case, it would not ratchet from engine throttle, when I depressed accelerator pedal in cabin, I heard it ratchet, means it is reset
(the inner sheath moved further OUT from the outer sheath, from ~10mm, to ~15mm)

I got underneath my car this arvo... it has started spotting and it is difficult to identify where.
Methinks it is around that part that connects the engine to the oil filter - oil pressure sender adapter? Oil Filter adapter rings???
The oil appears to be sliding rearwards and downwards, coating the bell housing, sump, and there is even oil covering the entire transmission pan (could this be tranny fluid???). The oil droplets are also landing on the exhaust so you get that burning sesame seed smell.
The grease around the engine block/cover appears old and is not the source.
I need to have the mechanic degrease the engine bay from top to bottom and find the leak.... has recently done a 3000km round trip so it is time to get the oil and dust out.

Tell me next week's lotto numbers. Car was de-greased by mechanic, and it is the oil filter adapter. I just had an oil change recently... $$$$...$$$$...!
Also, that screw plug on the bottom tray under the tranny was pooling oil at last glance.
At least it is not the RMS.

read how hard it was, bought 2 "sacrificial" 12mm $1 spanners from Supercheap
taped them together, short length of 38mm pipe as a breaker bar, job done in a few minutes
wasted $2, had plenty of 12mm spanners already
its only actually the big o-ring that leaks, but the kit (with 3 ) is only about $15-20 on ebay

?????????? The oil filter adaptor has a T60 Torx bit that I busted a 10mm sidchrome ringy on. Welded a 13/16 nut onto the T60, used a suitable spanner and part of a yabby pump to move it.
