So this morning we visited the most southerly point of Western Australia (west cape howe)! It was freezing and extremely windy but an amazing sight to see. The track in was a combination of made dirt road and sand track. As per the sign we let the tire pressure down and the JKU did it with ease. We even pulled out a bogged 4WD out. It was a shame to get our recovery gear dirty but hey anything to show the jeep is superior to others

Then it was off to visit the historic Whaling Station & the ANZAC Memorial.

The whaling station was interesting but for someone who grew up in the age of protecting the whales, some of it was confronting and eye opening. One photo showed a union meeting (of whalers) to take about the closure due to the protection of whales. In my nieavity i never thought about those employed and or their families when the industry was shut down. But it was interesting and worth a look (family pass $66)

The ANZAC Memorial was amazing and incredibly well done. Interactive cards that told stories of a number of ANZAC's as well as an English & Turkish officer. You are also issued with interactive pens (with inbuilt speakers). You press the pens on points and they tell you about it etc. Its a must see and very sobering. Even my 8 & 11 year old daughter's thought it was amazing!!

We stayed at the Emu Beach Big 4 Caravan Park. Must say it and its facilities were very very good. Would definitely recommend it

In between the rain, we visited the Balley of the Giants. This was cool with 400+year old trees and a sky walk that takes you into the canopy some 40m above the ground.
