Default dont take it in yet

Been trying to get some results out of Chrysler. No luck so far.
been phoning up the management tree.
have been told they have our tow-bar stored at the local dealership (Berwick) so the wife is going to pick up the bar after work. Hopefully we get that back.

So be aware they don't have the parts available to fit a tow bar to your car after the Mod . The letter they have sent out is misleading. Chrysler just wants to cover their arse and don't give a shit about you. They are saying three months till the parts are produced

Iv done 5 recall inspections 1 KJ with out a tow hitch must be the only one in Oz haha and the rest had genuine or HR bars installed , I havnt pulled any aftermaket bars off as all the clearances are good and none of them had any sharp edges that would be detrimental to the tank in a rear impact , all of them were rust free and the bars had been on since the vehicles were new , checked and re-torqued the bolts & gave em back , I have a crossmember to install sometime this week instock for the hitchless KJ but im not removing aftermaket HR bars when there is nothing wrong with them .

So will a new tow hitch be fitted after the crossmember to the hitchless vehicles?

So its only the ones without a tow hitch who will be getting one? Don't know about other owners but ACCC and Class Action are 2 words that come to mind quite quickly. Why would the recall be any different here to the recall issued in the US??

Mate from what I understand vehicals that dont have a hitch will get a reinforcement panel fitted , those that have a hitch at this time can be inspected for clearence's but nothing will be altered or exchanged untill the higher ups let us know what we can and cant do in regards to alterations and or replacment .

Well we still have a kj without a tow-bar. The dealership alleges that their instructions were different to the letter that we received and that's why they removed our HR bar, but still haven't rectified it. They have offered to lend us a great wall Ute to tow with this weekend which is a small concession but not the result I'm looking for. what about the rest of the 3 months ?
