If you replace the stock CRD airbox with the one out of the Petrol you will get more mileage out of the air filter. I just happen to have one of these Petrol airboxs that I imported from the states for sale. See for sale section - you can have it for what it cost me - its brand new! Also better for fording water as the intake position is higher (not behind headlight like the stock CRD airbox).

Don't know if ya'll can get Amsoil stuff...but the new EaA201 air filter is out and is much better...more pleats that are a bit longer each. Definitely a step up.

Just contacted http://www.a1oils.com.au/contact.php about it.
They're gonna get back to me as they don't normally bring in Amsoil airfilters.

I've SMS'd the guy the part number.
How many are we gonna be looking at?
I might get 2 or 3 depending on price.

Well they are good for 4 years or 100,000 miles (160,000Km) whichever comes first, unless you are Fouros road demon would you need that many? I'll grab 2, always good to have a spare. They are US$38.10 + freight to Aus.

It appears that the same filter is also good for commanders & grands. We could get a good order going here.

That sounds pretty good. I'd give one a try at that kind of price. Have to admit I haven't heard much about Amsoil filters so don't know about how good they are. I have read that other foam filters such as K+N and FinerFilter are actually inferior to OEM paper filters for actual fine particle filtration.
