Hi Chris

It was pretty simple as per the instructions.

I think I still need to orient/rotate the intake pipe a bit more as the cover isn't fitting quite right, but apart from that it is great!!!

Simple and effective mod.

Cheers
Ben

Default WH headlamp and Headlight protectors

Hi all, its been a while since I was on here.

I am just having some repairs done after hitting a massive roo in my 2006 WH Grand Cherokee, 5 hours after heading away on holiday up north in WA.

I am currently looking for replacement headlight protectors which i bought bran new in 2007,,, which are no longer available !!
So I just thought id pass on my info.

It had an ECB big tube Aluminium bull bar that actually saved the car from being a right off, (cant recommend them enough) and allowed us to continue on to our camping holiday!
The bull bar was impacted very hard, 100ks an hour with camper trailer on the back when we hit it under braking on impact, so maybe 4 tonne all up.

The bull bar turned 35+ degrees skywards and the roo on impact bent the spotlight mount bar only in the middle of the bar,,,, but turned the whole bar back onto the bonnet with the radio Arial mount hitting the bonnet, that was the only damage to it.

The big tube impacted the headlight and HL protector, smashing both and rippling the LH guard, and busting up the front clip under the bull bar.

The headlight protectors were a poly-carbonate,, and were on the car for 10 years, never had a problem, never got hot, never cracked, never any discoloration or glazing over. I just wish they still made them.

The only replacement headlight protectors I can find now comes from; http://www.andysautosport.com/produc...W.html#Product Details Does anyone know of these and are they any good?
Which are not the same but are fitted with double sided tape,,, apparently, Ill let you know how they go!

The cost of a bran new OEM headlight is $853.48

New like for like ali bull bar on the way, but powder coated in black ripple so ill have less reflection from headlights,, and it comes with LED driving lights and indicators.

Ok cheers

Today i installed the Turbo Resonator Delete Mod.
i was a little surprised at the difference it has made mostly on slight throttle i find you dont need to shuv the pedal to get it to go.
its like the turbo has finally woken up

so im quite wrapped now .

only thing now it has me thinking more about upgrading the intercooler, cause if a little bit of pipe can make a reasonable difference, i could only imagine what the intercooler would do.

You sure you wanna know?
hang on to your seat LOL.

it was $261 U.S total, so $51 U.S post and total AUD was $342.62 to my door, so not cheap.
but it would cost that much to get something made up here, and i wasnt keen on just putting a pipe or hose in its place due to its location i didnt want it hitting the drive belt.
the Pipe they supply mounts the same as the Resonator. and it does look neat an tidy too.
