Default Uneek 4x4 WK2 roof rack

Here are some cad progress shots of the full length roof rack we're designing for the WK2. We hope to have the prototype on in August.

Features:

-Light weight full aluminium design for Rack
-Full length mesh floor
-32mm structural grade tube
-Caged top for maximum loading potential
-Steel mounting plates that pan the full length of the roof and don't just put the weight on the rail buttons, but spread it out over the pinch welds as well. This will increase the load capacity up to around 200kg
-Light mounts on the front and back
-Flat sides perfect for mounting awnings
-Wind deflector
-Quick easy install

Front view with 40" single row light bar

Looking good Dave, what is the length and width going to be, also could you look at some kind of ladder? (Re Gobi), to make loading and unloading easier for heavier items like spare tyre

"Quick easy install" does this mean removing as well? I don't want to be lugging a rack around when I don't need it.

I use one of those folding tyre steps for accessing the roof.

Good product now coming on line for the GC, good stuff Dave.

This could be what I need for some trips to save taking the trailer when not needed but still pack all that she who has to be obeyed wants to pack.

How much extra height will this add to the truck?

I only have so much space to get in the work car park.

Otherwise it will have to come on and off as needed which goes to Benn0's question.
