i know the housing has to be spread open to fit the center.....
I dont know for an 8.8 but when together it should be perfectly straight. would not have thought that any spread for fitting the center would result in that much pre-load.
How much out of straight are you seeing?

Well, today was interesting. Found a little rust in the D/S front foot well. Right where ya heel rests, when ya foot is on the foot rest.
Welded a plate on that.

The upper control arms were loose.
The steering damper is shot, spewed forth it's guts.
And the P/S engine mount is ************ again.
Also, noticed, half of the t.r.e. boots are cactus.

Pink slip tomorrow......

Did I mention the interior is still in the back of the shed, waiting for the headlining to be repaired....

Finished off all work on my head replacement. Went for a drive. Never ran better.
Then back home noticed a water leak. Oh no! On closer inspection I discovered it was leaking from the thermostat housing. Thought I did a real thorough job reinstalling it. Pulled it off and decided to file the back of it. It had distorted around the bolt holes.
Filled it flat. Reinstalled with thicker gasket. All good now.

Last night i took off my roof rack system and just left my light bar mounted and removed the Narva 225s from ontop of the bullbar. WOW. What a clean look. Much better... for now. also removed tools and recovery gear from boot... i swear i gained a Inch in height . Also put in my newer up stream o2 sensor as that failed while on its big trip home from Fraser Island.
