Think he is done with Rams. He is not sure what he can buy to do what he wants![/QUOTE]

I think if you did the maths on the extra bolt ons, then what the carry load ended up being, I mean fuel, bums and gear, along with the TBW then like many its was too much, soft suspension just too much ...... it would be Stellantis decision not so much FCAustralia....

Interesting that not a wimper about the same thing happening on earlier versions here or have I not be listening ?? Looking over at the States its happening to all the rigs not just RAMs...

Fair enough. If he asks the dealer nicely (and offers to pay), they might swap over the bullbar with the grille from the new one.

Realistically, if he wants to tow heavy and carry weight, his options are a 200/300 series or Patrol with a GVM upgrade, or move to a RAM 2500 or F250.

I think it's been happening for a while here too, but more people moving to heavier setups than a few years ago. Have to remember too that the majority of owners, be it of dual cabs, RAMS, 200s, anything, don't actually go anywhere near the limits, so its still a rare occurrence - while there are more owners towing and touring than there once was, it's still a minority.

Yep I reckon your right and we never get the full story of what sort of thing the vehicle has been thru ..... Mind sit awhile near Innskip Point and you see some sights on the tilt tray coming back from Fraser and they all have a decent load.....

If your rig is over weight in Qld you might just be a bit lighter in the pocket soon!
The Qld police have stated over the Xmas holidays and into next year another
rig weighing operation will take place, and fines will be issued if rids deemed dangerous! They have publically stated 90% of all rigs weighed are over weight or exceed axle weight specs! I have just sold my Jayco OB 17.58 poptop to a guy with a new Ram 1500 .5.7 ,the rear went down over two inches when connected.Plus he asked me to drive the combination to see what I thought! Geez my 2010 GC diesel towed it just as well and ifyou think the Ram is a truck you are right! Richard at Jeeps R Us in Coffs said when you lift Ram on a hoist chassis sag etc is a big!

Well appears my neighbour is going to get a full buy back of his new Ram including all the extras he purchased.
One condition is he is not allowed to discussed the buy back details!!!
Obviously they dont want it common knowledge the Rams have a chassis issue and cant tow what they state !!!
