Default Beginner tracks for a standard JKU CRD in victoria?

My jku is completely stock for the time being, including stock tyres. Just wondering if there's any suitable tracks not too far from Melbourne. Preferably west or north victoria and 150km from Melbourne.

Head out to lerdaderg state forest out near gisbourn most things are fairly easy just check the muddy holes and the more obvious bog holes as some are car eaters..

Lerderderg, Wombat State Forest and the Otways. Yes, the bog holes in Wombat can be as deep as they are in length. I nearly drowned my Zook in one of them a few years ago because I was too lazy to stop and check the depth. What saved me was that I bottomed out and got stuck before the whole car got in there.

yeah head out to wombat and stick to all the marked tracks they are pretty easy just check the bog holes first they can swallow a large truck, i head out there with my standard commander with at's and my mate with his standard ranger with road tyres and it can be great fun in the wet just stick to the main tracks i know the area pretty well i have been going out there for over 10 years now on dirt bikes and in my toy a 92 disco with 35s 5" lift locked both end and hugh amount of mods so it caters for everything out there.

I'm planning a trip for some beginner 4wders in SE Vic with cars of similar capability.... Can anyone recommend something in that area? I haven't been out for a while, and don't want these guys winching or snatching them all day

When are you going mate? I'm in the Sth East (Bayside) & haven't done any off reading yet - I'd be interested in joining if that's ok?

My car is set up with a 3" lift, 33's & all suspension work, everything apart from a snorkel & winch so I should be fine from that point.
