First question
Who is going to get a team together that has the time and knowledge to make it happen?
Second question
Who is going to fund the event?
Third question
Who is going to plan, recce and run all the trips needed?
Do I need to ask any more questions at this point.

That's a bit negative. How about as well as putting up questions, put up some suggestions.
I've been involved in organising 2 Jamborees (2002 & 2012), and attended a few. It does NOT take 2 years to organise.
Example the Morriset Jambo was run with only about 6months lead-time. Also in most cases the actual planning and work doesn't ramp up until theres 12-6 months left.
Also often the Jambo committees start from stratch, all they need to do and I have no doubt if asked previous organisers would help provide contacts, plan templates, tips, even resourses.
1. IF any of the Tassie guys (or other smaller clubs) are interested in running a Jambo, then I know I would not be alone in offering any possible assistance to them.
2. Funding, is by the attendees (presold tickets etc) and cash sponsorship. No doubt there are otherways to raise the money, but it's just a matter of how much needs to be spend as to how much needs to be raised. No so much money, fine just have less fanfare.
3. I am sure some locals know various tracks. If needed I am sure some would be happy to arrive early to help.
