Default Which TJ to get?

If I was to purchase a TJ 05/06
Is there a specific model(sport etc) i should get or stay away from? Any common problems or anything I should look out for. Not sure if I should budget myself to a TJ or get a JK.

Auto or manual with the 4.0?

if its for rd use and very basic offroad id nearly go jk but if u want something thatl go anywhere without all the bells and whistles go the tj!

the 6sp in the tj wont last long under extreme abuse however it will handle quite heavy wheeling without too much hassle

The 6 speed box is not a good box. Its known to be weak. You want the AX15 box from 99 on.
