Shock advice needed.
Hi guys,
I have the standard King lifted springs and Bilstein 4600 shocks on my WH. The Billys can't handle the rebound rate of the springs, and I have decided to replace them with something better.
I am interested in either the Koni Heavy Track or the OME shocks. I was hoping for feedback on these to help me decide. I have Konis on my BMW, and they are remarkable. I like the idea of being able to adjust the rebound to tailor the ride. As for OME, well they seem to be the go to for the Tojo boys, and my father in law has them on his 2 Landcruisers. He can't speak highly enough of them.
I am open to others, if there is any good feedback. I would very much like the Lovells shocks, but they are out of production.
Cheers,
Robert

Can't fault the Lovells kit. I did have to wait 3 months for it but I'm glad I did.

I have tried several times to order, they don't seem to be making them any more. I have contacted Lovells and they just say they will contact me when they are available.
When did you order yours?

Hey BJM,
I just called ARB to chat about the shocks. It seems the kit includes their standard shocks, but there is a H/D shock available for front and rear.
You don't know what you have in yours, do you?

To me the problem isn't so much the strut but the spring. The King Springs I had were way to firm imo. Lovells strut springs ride so much better and I think the Lovells and OME N219S strut combo would work well. Had the OME N188S with kings and don't rate them at all.
Still I cant fault my Lovells strut spring combo.
