Was so close to not making it through on the first vid.
Had no one driven this track in a long time?

Gidday Gojeep
There were 11 vehicles from my local 4wd club and we were the first ones to do this track since the wet season had started as we could find no evidence of anyone having been in there recently. It was about 5 kms and took about 4 hours. The other problem that I had was that I was second last vehicle in the convoy so all the other vehicles had churned it up before I went through. But it was a great day out, other than getting rid of the stagnant mud smell from the car afterwards!!

Nice vids Michael. Lucky in that first vid. Looks like open diffs.

What's the difference between the QT2 and QD on a WJ?

Thanks Briteway, yeah that puddle nearly swallowed me.
Mine is a June 2005 V8 Laredo. Not 100% sure but I think essentially mine are QT2 normal open diffs once the car "decides" it needs 4wd, as opposed to the QD where the power goes to the wheel with the most resistance/traction. I assume the QD is found in one of the other models, Limited or Overland.
My knowledge of this sort of thing I am embarrassed to say is very limited so hopefully someone more knowledgeable can set us both straight.

Thanks OMgrodd. Liked watching your vids too. I'm still learning the 4x4 ropes and haven't hit any swamps yet. DOne years and years on bikes though.

Nearly stayed the night after taking a few pics on the beach we did.

There is only one way out of there up a climb. But, it is clay and it's been raining here a bit, and it's all churned up by someone getting stuck on it.

And, there's no front shaft in this WG at the moment.

So I told my little daughter to grab the jesus handle and pinned it up. Just made it. Lots of mud flinging, straight through 4.7 zorst sounding sweet and my daughter ya hooing all the way up. Fun.
