Good time to recycle with the price getting higher. That pic of your Jeep at the Dam reminded me of a dam near my place, it gets a bit of a crust on the ground as the water recedes and as usual some of the local Nissota crowd push their luck and break through into the bottomless goo. Nearly been caught out myself a few times too! Its always good for a laugh since it takes hours for a rescue, and there aint many sights funnier (to a Jeep driver) than a bunch of Nissotas in deep shot hopelessly bogged!!!

I was very scared I would break through but the lake has been this low at least since February, when I was there last. Wouldn't have been fun to get stuck on street tires there

Went to the mountains a couple of weeks ago and when turning on a narrow road, the rear slipped in the ditch.
For anyone concerned about the narrowed winch not having enough line, it was too short but with the 13 meter extension and a soft shackle I had the same amount of line as a regular winch.

It wasn't cold, only 2 or 3 below freezing. Our winters are very mild now, on Christmas eve it started raining, almost all the snow was gone by morning.

One thing that I don't know how to avoid on the winch, the line was frozen close to the drum, so I couldn't spool it all out.
