Seriously though, this is going to be a good looking machine when it is finished.
Very well spotted. Need an extra 1.5mm on the bottom yet but will set that once we have a complete door.

Just placed the door extension into place and worried it looks too long compared to the the B pillar area behind it. This has been something I thought could be the case since I first photoshopped the 7" longer cab.

Always had a backup plan in case I didn't like it at this stage. To shorten the door by 2-3" and double up the B pillar rather than cutting it out and moving it. This will make it much stronger too. Then make a new fill in piece. Is it just me or does it look fine??

Speaking of which:

Look a little thin compared to the width of the cowl... imho.... the extra width around the B pillar may be handy on the inside of the cab... OUTSTANDING workmanship ........

I'm liking the backup plan, Markus. The door looks a bit too long. JMO.
2" will be sweet.
Beautiful work, man.
Cheers

This might help picture what I am thinking of changing it too.

This is a rough photo chop of a cab I have made similar cab changes too to what I have done, but have also shortened the door and added the length back into the B pillar.

For me, personally, that's more pleasing to the eye.
I think though, because the hood and guard is there, too, for reference/comparison.
I can remember, you widened the hood. Did you lengthen it? This could help determine the length of the door.

I like the extra metal in the B pillar Marcus, but I think you'll need to mock up the bonnet & guards for a good look at it. I'm sure you'll get the proportions right, with your work so far you've demonstrated a very keen eye. I reckon if you painted pictures you'd make Rembrandt & his cronies look like monkies. Regards oldon.
