it deff sounds like some sort of power 'issue'

question is - does it happen when you're moving as it coudl be the pump powering up to move the wheel to rigth as you're sitting still it'd use more oomph to actually turnthe wheels whilst your sitting still.

Default Steering wheel whistle

Yep happens when still and driving at all speeds. It's been suggested that its the clock spring. They have a habit of failing after replacing a steering part due to the lock to lock process to get the air out of the system.

Cant see the clockspring making that noise tho!
Ive had a failed clockspring and it didnt make any noise.
