i suppose we should all sell our 4wd's & buy bus passes.
I think thats what im reading into Cruiserfed's post.
personally Id rather see them put threw more stringent safety tests, including a defensive driving cores & an off road awareness & 4wd driver management cores that they have to pass prior to letting them hit the road.

I guess your probably reading that out of my post because you have taken it a bit personally. While i do believe that modifications should not be allowed on plates Wooders is right in saying it would be one more step towards a ban against all of us and thats not in my interests. Driver training is benificial to all but peer pressure and wanting to impress mates can be stronger.

Anyway im not looking for arguments or to stir anything up they are just my thoughts.

P Platers can't drive V8's turbo'd rigs anyway at the moment.
promise you a P plate can be stuck next to a badge that says V8 on a car, and a cop will follow it for a good 5k's before turning off and the P Plater is fine, exactly the same as Turbo powered cars.

you could bring in as many laws as people want. untill they're actually inforced nothing is going to happen....

but that p-plater is just darn right hopeless... in another comment: show how structural the government are making it's tables and chairs lol!!!!

but it does make you sit back and think..

so many aussies are complaining about the bush getting locked up... yeah don't half blame any one for waantign to lock it up when you see stuff like that... *sigh*

Blaming this on P platers is absolute bloody garbage. You blame that particular group because you are too lazy to figure out the real problem which is ALL not some, not a particular group you can point a finger and be done with; ALL have to take responsibility for actions like this.

There are wheelers and there are yahoo's and they don't give a damn about some silly plate.

You are right Rone, this particular one happened to have a P plate on but there are many clowns out there that do the same thing on a full license, it would be good to see a link to the original FB post so we can post our thoughts there, that way this clown, all his mates and the gov will see that the majority do not condone this behaviour.

As far as restrictions go I don't have a problem with license restrictions on power but mods should be left alone, if they had that rule then a kid could not even put a set of mags on his car even if they meet full compliance.

Do stupid people gain intelligence once they are fully licensed? I'm a p plater not long turned 18 and I don't think being a p plater has anything to do with it. I know plenty of stupid people who are older. I've been camping many times and the only stupid thing I've done with mates was accidentally get a hilux stuck in a river which we had to recover slightly dangerously (which we were well aware of and careful as possible). So do I deserve to not have a slightly lifted jeep and bigger tyres because this idiot wrecked the park bench? I want to enjoy the bush and keep it how it should be as much as everyone else here.
