Default Steering wheel whistle

I recently replaced the steering box on my WJ and all is good with the exception of a high pitch whistle when turning the wheel to the right. It sounds like air passing through a tiny hole !
Very annoying. Any ideas ?
Thanks

soapy water whilst turning on pipes to find out?
check you don't have a dent on your steering dampner isn't bent so it's compressed one way, then when it extends might be squealing?

Default Grand Cherokee Noise Puzzle

I have recorded the noise, if you listen carfully you can hear the whistle when turning the steering wheel to the right.

What do you all think ?

Thats a wierd one, sounds kinda like a small electric motor but there isnt anything like that in the wheel or column.
Only thing i can think of is air trapped in the system.

Really?!? That sounds made up. Are you sure that's not just you whistling????

Sorry, I have nothing constructive to add either. Beats me.

When my steering box failed it was only turning right as well.

Looking forward to seeing the solution for this one.

Wait a minute....... Is the serp belt slipping? Get someone else to turn the wheel and check under the bonnet.
