Just picked up this old bit of tin, ex the US.
My daughter has claimed the JK as hers, so I needed something to take its place next to the Gladiator. Its a 1946 Ford running a 283 Chev and original 3 speed box.

Well, we finally got around to getting a second car so SWMBO can get to work easier. Just picked it up today.

Nice and clean on the forecourt

Still nice and clean. Looks so diddy. You could almost fit two of them into the parking space.

Watching the storm roll in to Sydney harbour from North Head Bluff. Looked amazing but boy did it rain a few minutes after this was taken!

I must say I am a little jealous seeing all the cool old and not so old cars, particularly the Holdens. I want one, I loved the late Manaro's and when I was 15 dreamed about getting and A9X or SLR but never eventuated. I do wish I still had my old Capri that was a bodgy machine but with a worked 2.0 Cortina engine, 45mm Weber side draft, extractors, system, & thermal fan, it was a kick arse car. It went better than some of my mates V8s. Burnt outs by just planting my foot, unreal. Unfortunatly the new town copper was less than impressed by my driving antics, especially when I nearly rear ended him at an accident site with two mates in the car listening to Acca Dacca blasting out. Damn knew I should have replaced those rear brake shoes when I had the chance. Result big yellow canary, he just started writing a list without even going over the car. I said to him 'oh not the big yellow canary', his reply "YEP"....

Looking at the pics makes me want to get back out on the track and thrash the **** out of my bike; next year.

Regards A

This is my other hobby when the Jeep is not keeping me busy. Just sorted a wheel bearing problem couple of weeks ago. I didn't feel to comfortable cranked over, doing 170kph soon approaching the northern hair pin at Malalla and the arse end wanting to wobble. Got it home and found a fair bit of slop in the wheel. Also had it wheel aligned and correct wheel spacers made. Hopefully that too will help it handle a little better. Just refitted the rear wheel tonight and now just need to slip off the front sprocket and remove the spacer behind it, so it too runs true along the rear wheel.
I was gonna head to the State Titles at Mt Gambier in a couple of weeks but a relationship break up has put a stop to that. All good I'll go out for some practice at Malalla soon.

Regards A
