Default Headlight upgrade to LED

On our recent trip circumnavigating Oz, the only weakness on this SUV was the hi-beam headlights and rather than destroy the lines with a light bar, thought I would upgrade the globes to LED. The ones in the link below are 38,000 lumens with good reviews. Many light bars seem to only have a third as many lumens. Does anyone know what the OEM globe lumen rating is?

Anyone had any experiences with an aftermarket swap?

Thanks in advance.

HID, usually a D3S, and at the price of these globes you don't want to change your mind and led close to same price ....have a look in your glove box book to be sure......... A light bar would be a cheaper and probably better fix.

Have a read of the Rockauto parts listing for a 2021 Grand Cherokee headlights:

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...amp+bulb,11701

They list a few different bulbs etc or look up your VIN build sheet on the MOPAR factory site
https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/vin-lookup.html

Cheers

LED globes do not work well at all in HID projector housings - lighting performance will likely be worse.

People have success upgrading to a brighter HID bulb, like the OSRAM Nightbreaker - won't get your extra distance or width due to how the projectors work, but the illuminated area will be brighter.

Jeeps are not the only one,s in regards to high beam being a bit dismal. There is only a flap that opens up to give you high beam, My New Triton was the same, I went down the path of supplementing it with a 21" slimline light bar, now it lights up the road beautifully and looks like it was made for it 7000 lumen @760mt, 20 x 5watt osram led's

Might pay if you give someone like STEDI a call or flick them an email,

I'd want a guarantee from ebay seller that they are not going to screw with Canbus on the Jeep, especially cheap Chinese rubbish and like LeCheese stated they might not be all they are cracked up to be, sure they might be brighter to LOOK at, but when it comes to actually light on the road, thats another question,
Just my 2 bobs worth, Keep us all posted with your outcome
