Default Fuse #7 SKIM parasitic draw

Wise ones,

Any advice how to chase down issues with parasitic draw related to fuse 7 SKIM?

Thanks in advance.

This one is going to be fun - in the same way that going to the dentist is fun.

Fuse 7 runs more than just the SKIM. I'm looking through the diagrams now, but I can already see it sends power through fuses 23, 24, 25, 27 and circuit breaker 2. I'd start by pulling these one by one and seeing what happens to the parasite.

Fuse 25 is the accessory delay relay and the anti lock brake controller (DO NOT DRIVE WITH THIS FUE PULLED! The ABS has a secondary supply via fuse 4, but don't tempt fate.)

Fuse 24 is the fog lamp relay, body control unit, cargo lamp and courtesy lights

CB 2 powers the seats and the seat module

Fuse 23 powers the brake lamp switch and brake lights. (This also sends a control signal to the ABS module, so again do not tempt fate.)

Hope this helps. Good luck.

That's good info, give me somewhere to start, thanks.

I've got fuse 7 pulled to conserve battery when not driving.

I pulled all the fuses one by one so if they did have an effect I believe it to be minimal. I will check again though.

My battery hardly gets above 65% charge driving a few days a week. Battery is brand new.

I noticed the indicators don't flash when remote locking with fuse removed. The red light on dash does not flash also.
Is it also related to security system?

Thanks!
