Filled up with no problems on Friday arvo.

Tried to use the high flow truck pump but the spout was way to big would fit in, so had to use the standard size nozle on the same bowser. (still very fast though)

Filled up fine, but only time will tell.

No this TSB only applies to the Diesels in various different model Jeeps, JK's KK's etc.

Test drove a Grand CRD, Prado, and Pajero, and considered the 76GXL.

Grand had the best engine, Prado the best fuel tank, and Pajero the most features for the cheapest price, and a/c isn't even standard on the 76!!!!!

Considering the hassles I am having with my JK at the moment and the lack of any solution from the dealer, plus all the problems a mate of mine has had with his Commander - that ruled out Jeep (plus the absolute crap trade in they offered on our Territory - $3k less than others - and that is after buying 3 cars previously from that dealership!!!!!!!)

Prado's are so common and you pay a premium for the name.

The Pajero had more torque than the Prado and 76, better warranty than all of them, more features for less money, will do everything we need in a 4wd, and has a good reputation build quality wise - so it won - easily!!

Had the TSB done on my JK. Before it was OK, only during the last 10-15 ltr it started clicking off on standard pumps. Now it even works till the last litre on high flow pumps with the narrow spout. Tested a few times to make sure.

The only thing I don’t understand that the TSB updated 4 parts in total:
1) Both the vent hose and its extension to the tank (much larger dia kinda 18mm).
2) The vent filter, BUT BUT BUT it's the same part no. 68012168AA as per 08 parts list!
3) The extension hose (same dia though) of the recirculation line to the tank.

How did this have such an effect?? I just don't get it...

Only filled up a few times since the fix, but all is great.

JK now fills on high flow pump with narrow spout all the way to the top.

After auto shut off I am lucky to get half a litre in.

very happy so far.

EugeJK, maybe the new vent filter has replaced the 08 version so part number can be the same. who knows with CJ

Nah, they ordered and put into mine the same part number for the vent filter. That's what puzzling me... CRD owners suspected other components i.e. vent valve, narrow fuel filler hose etc. But it seems all it was the small dia vent hose/clip joint. That explained why Stevil’s fix(larger dia filler hose) couldn’t score 100%. Well, the credit goes to the German Engineers from Chrysler It was their fix.

Had the update fitted yesterday. Why did I think the the useless pricks that call themselves service technicians could do this without screwing it up.

In the large vent line, there are at least 3 kinks that I can see. One of the clamps on the main filler pipe was completely undone. And the Filler surround wasn't seated properly. Will be calling the dealer principle monday to voice my disgust.

Haven't tried to fill up yet, wanted to check the install myself, lucky I did.

Thats my rant over with.

Now I am wondering what type of vent hose was used for others updates. Mine was done with a hard nylon hose that once kinked stays kinked. My plan is to buy new fuel grade rubber hose and replace the whole thing myself.
