Thanks DW.

Didn't recognise some of those clean parts at first .

Airbox is in almost the same spot as the CRD but engine air intake is different, hopefully that will solve some of Gibson's location issues.

Have sent them to Michael Kirk Williams. Great job DW.

Did you go ahead with the car? I reckon you can't beat the CRD as a tow vehicle. We tow our 2tonne van at close on 100ks on the highway and it will sit there all day every day and get 18l / 100k. Even better if I back off (but it's a big country if all you have is a few weeks annual leave, fuel is cheaper than leave without pay )

Default not sure yet

Hi Bomber

Have not finally decided yet, I have some info and it appears that towing with the 5.7 becomes VERY thirsty, so not looking too good at the moment will advise on site my final decision.

I agree with Bomber. We have the CRD and tow a 2t van as well, and at 100Km we get closer to 15l/100Kms. Doesnt miss a beat.

I have a WH Grand with 5.7 and regularly tow a 2.1 tonne car and trailer. Although rotten around town (I do like blowing off other cars even with a heavy load) at around 22l/100klm, I find if I'm sensible on the highway mid 16's is easily achievable.
