Cool Mjoc trip leader training course

With the National Jeep Jamboree 2010 coming up soon we would like to encourage more members to become experienced and trained to run MJOC and possibly Jamboree trips.

MJOC is all about trips and we are always looking for new leaders to show us different and exciting places and experiences.

Get involved in this Great club and become an MJOC trip leader. MJOC trip leader training ensures that all our trips are consistently run efficiently, safely and are fun for all. The trip leader training course is suitable for any member who has completed our MJOC driver training feels they have enough experience and who is enthusiastic about running some club trips.

The course includes a mandatory theory session on the Friday evening at the Four Wheel Drive Victoria headquarters (where we have our meetings) and a full day of practical exercises in the bush aroung Cobaw Forest on the Sunday. You will experience trip planning, convoy procedures, trip ratings, communications, emergency strategies, navigation, advanced recovery skills and management as well as club rules and environmental issues.

You will need to complete the theory, practical day and actually run a trip to complete the course. if you need it we can arrange for additional assistance in organising your trip and can team you up with another trip leader if required to help you out. On completion of the program you will receive a MJOC Trip Leader certificate and be able to run as many trips as you wish. Its not that difficult to run a trip, it just requires proper planning and and a sense of adventure and fun.

If each of our trained trip leaders were to run just one trip each year we would have trips almost every weekend and that is all we expect, just one trip per year. And maybe a few at the Jambo.
Visit our club website training section to book your course at www.mjoc.org.au
The next course is being run in April 9th and 11th.

DITO - We will also have Jeep 101 Driver Training at the Jambo if you require some skill building and Jeep 4WD system knowledge.
