I logged into the Blue Driver repair database using a North American VIN for a 2015 Grand Cherokee eco diesel. The frequently reported fix for the P0336 code was:
Replaced crankshaft position (CKP) Sensor Reluctor, &
Replaced crankshaft position (CKP)Sensor

There were no suggested repairs for the U1401 (probably triggered in conjunction with P0336 code)

I’d also be looking to unplug / replug the CKP sensor in case the connectors are dirty

Cheers

Rockauto in US have them ,door to door in around 7-10 days in normal times.part no appears to be 68102341AA ,not cheap.Could try HiTech auto spares in CHristchurch if open, plentY of new and used WK Grand Cherokee parts or Jeep recyclers ,Hervey Bay in Queensland.or maybe try the VM agents in NZ as a VM Fiat motor. Not a good time for it to go.

Will get hold of hitech soon as lockdowns over , Seems a few of the reluctors going in the rams too so best to change that aswell it seems . From reports i've had so far its about a $2500 AUD bill and most of it labour as the gearbox has to come out.
