Default I love the furry trees!

Well, after the fires last October, this is what was left when it went past.

Now, three and a half months later, the undergrowth is returning and the trees are nice & furry!

Great to see that things are improving.
There are parts of the Victorian high country that have been reduced to moon scape.
many old growth trees are now just dead standing trunks.

As bad as bush fires are and as much destruction they cause you can't argue the regenerative effect they have on the Aussie bush , seems like grow faster after they have been burnt

Nice pictures Banshee
Awesome to see i totally agree. Just sad what the bush has to go through to be able to thrive like that again.
Been up Narrowneck last weekend via Bilpin and everywhere around there is the same, nice fresh green.

Yes. Before man, idiots, vandals and modern fire creating technology, there was still lightening.
think about this. No roads, fire breaks and fire departments, after a lightning strike, where did the fire stop?
mother nature is smart enough to know about this stuff.
I think she had some input regarding the grand design.

The bush comes back from it so well because it has evolved to the conditions. Fires have gone through so many times that those that survived it repeatedly now populate the country.

There are some plants not where the seeds only shoot after a fire has come through! Can make propagating them for nurseries a little difficult!
