Default Fan Clutch..replacement

Hi , the fan clutch (big nut type)on my 2001 TJ has seized solid (bearing inside). I want to replace it with a Hayden 2791 (severe heavy duty). Has anyone replaced theirs recently and what price did you pay ?
I want to replace it with another fan clutch not with a thermo fan (elec) thx

Cheers Bonza , I did read a few posts that you made previously on the subject. I ended up getting one from Autopartsonline $130, won't be a Hayden though. I have changed a few of these fans in my time, and only two of them have "freewheeled" when you turn the engine off (at normal running temp). I have a new Pajero and it does the same. Whats your experience with fitting them?
Thx.

I got the hayden clutch from rock auto for my 2003. Rock auto kill you on shipping, so order heaps of spares and any other things you need because everything on there is much cheaper than buying it here. I stocked up on filters and spares so shipping wasn't that bad in the end

I had the opposite experience with rock auto shipping cost. I've always found them pretty good on shipping.

I'm looking at ordering a belt drive component kit and its only $31 AUD for shipping. SBR wanted to charge me $20 shipping from Wangara to Baldivis (80km difference) for a small package.

easy to fit. use a open ended spanner to suit the clutch nut, then give it a quick whack anti clockwise with a dead blow hammer two or three times and they come loose. bit of a squeeze and be careful of the radiator core that you dont scrape the fan against it. at the time I also fitted a 7 bladed fan as well

true. I need a new idler pulley and buying a Gates pulley and with shipping works out about AUD$10 or more cheaper to my door than getting off my backside and going to Supercrap, try to find a parking spot, (Frankston store is bloody hopeless) then only to find they dont have it in stock and has to be ordered in

pays to always check the item cost and shipping then do a conversion and see if it is worthwhile. usually it is, then sometimes it isn't
