Default 2007-8 and 2010 soft tops (Differences?)

I have 2010 JK Unlimited sport and need to replace the Sunrider soft top. There are a number of 2007-08 soft tops available for sale on ebay etc.
1. Will these 07-08 versions fit the 2010 model?
2. How can I distinguish between soft-top versions?

The 07-08 will NOT fit on a 10. I have an 08 and my partner has a 10, the soft tops are not interchangeable (neither are the front parts of the hard top) as the loop on the back of the top of the front window is in a different spot.

The 10 hard tops have a different system of latching to the front window, and that necesitated the moving of the loop to the passengers side. If you put a 07-08 soft top onto a 10 vehicle, the window bar will not seat properly, it will make a lot of noise when driving and will leak when it rains......we found out the hard way.

what are you talking about in particular?

I have a 2010 top on a 2008 and it fits fine. Only thing that was needed was the 2010 window frames.

This all started out because the rear window zipper got bustard off and the replacement cost was just under $600 for a new rear window. There are a number of 07-8 complete softops for sale around the $600 mark on ebay, but none for 2010 model. I was lead to believe there are differences. E.g. the 07-8 models doesn’t come standard with the Sunrider top and window tint. So the question is are they the same.

07 and 08 definately have sunrider as an option but believe only came on Dual top Rubicon and Renegade. Darker tinted soft top windows also exist for 07 and 08 models, suspect again only on dual top Rubicon and Renegade.

I will try to get some photos this weekend (we have just moved house and have no room for the soft tops so they are still in the cars (the wrong ones) with the hard tops on.

Hopefully it will be nice and sunny and we can get them out and out them in the new garage.
