Default Dual battery tray for JK Diesel.....

Gday folks, i dont know if this has been covered yet but i was browsing ebay and found these dual battery trays for the JK diesel. Apparently there is not much room for them but this bloke seem to just squeeze them into the engine bay. Anyone got one?

I'd be interested too, but I'd prefer someone else went first

Just BTW the pics shown are a petrol engine..... the diesel is significantly different under the bonet.

Personally i'ts a bit concerning when a vendor advertises "fits petrol or diesel" when it doesn't seem to be correct. Doesn't build credibility IMO.

However this product "should" be suitable for a petrol engine, as i've seen others doing the same thing. I do have a bit of a concern over battery temperature..... but that's an opinion not a fact.

That certainly wouldn't fit under my bonnet.

Incidentally, I had a chat to a bloke on the Piranha stall at the Wandin 4WD show and he said that they had just developed a second battery mount for CRD JKs. It sits on the wheel arch under the roll cage.

The bloke said that they had fitted second batteries under the front and rear passenger seats but a customer wanted to mount a second battery in the back and they had designed a mount to suit.

It's not being marketed but they have specifications and can make the mount to order.
