WG Drivers Door Module

Hi all
Windows, Locks and Mirrors stopped working from the drivers door.
Using the remote unlocks all doors except the drivers.
Can't do passenger doors from those doors. Because there is window lock function on the drivers control i am assuming that if DDM failed then the passenger doors would be locked.
I read here that most issues are caused by wiring problems in the door (god knows how many wires to check) but would they all fail?
Maybe an earth issue - I assume the door needs to be earthed.
And, if it is the DDM are there any issues in replacing it?

The most likely cause of the problem is 1 or more busted wires between the drivers door and the body
If the main earth or main battery wire is broken most functions stop working.
If you fix it, replace ALL the wires even ones you think look OK because they all break sooner or later.

The thick green wire was the first for me... only 7 strand, looks like garden variety building wire.
You need to source quality multistrand flex to re-wire, and do not join in a flexing part of the umbilical.
The SCA spools are 26 strand.
Jaycar does an 8 pack of mixed colours at 1.8mm2, but I believe this is 13 strand. It has to be better than original...
